Citieffe has made trauma implants near Bologna since 1962. It began by building surgical instruments for the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, and it still controls its entire production cycle in-house. The ESTREMO nail shows the approach: one system for the tibia, both femoral approaches and hindfoot fusion, with a technique built on a few quick, reproducible steps.

Hip fractures at the top of the femur, fixed with a lag screw into the femoral head.
ESTREMO tibial nail
Tibial shaft fractures, inserted above the kneecap with the knee semi-extended.
ESTREMO retrograde femoral nail
Fractures of the lower femur, inserted through the knee.
ESTREMO antegrade femoral nail
Femoral shaft fractures, inserted from the hip.
Dynamic T humeral nail
Fractures of the humerus, the upper arm bone.
Dolphix external fixator
An external frame that holds a fracture stable from outside the skin.
